MOTO 1: Albertson would get a decent
start and round the first lap in 13th position. He would loose a position
to Hamlin and move back to 14th. Racing stayed very close as there were
not very many position changes on the circuit. When the two lap board
came out, Summey and Albertson were gaining ground on Boni and Alessi.
The #24 and #702 would close the 5 second gap in a late moto charge and
over take the #801 and #109 Hondas at the finish line. 12th would be the
moto 1 finish.
MOTO 2: Jimmy got a great jump and came out around 6th
place off the start. He would end up going down on the first lap and round
the first lap in tenth position. Jimmy would remain in 10th at the finish
of moto 2.
OVERALL: Consistent moto scores of 12th and 10th would garner a 9th overall
finish at Unadilla. After the race, Jimmy felt that after falling in 6th
place, he just wanted to ride conservatively and stay on two wheels, and
gather another top ten overall. He stated, “My speed is there in
practice, and I just need to loosen up and race the way I practice. I
know I need good overall finishes, so it makes it hard ride the way I
really know how to.” Consistency has been a strong point for the
Shoei backed Albertson as he has three top ten finishes in the last three
nationals.
